HSBC PPI reclaim. Delaying tactics.

Hi there.
I sent off my PPI reclaim letters about 3 weeks ago and have today received letters back from HSBC ref my loan and credit card.
They've told me my address is not registered with them and I need to go to my local branch with ID and change my details, propblem is I don't have a current account with them, just this old loan and card, which is currently being managed by CCCS. The lady behind the desk just looked at me blankly and told me to phone them.
They were no help on the phone and told me to go into a branch. They've also sent a letter saying as I owe no money to them (I do and am still paying) they hold no paper work for me, which they obviously do if they have my old address.
Any idea where I go next with them?

Hi there
I would definately make a point of going to your local branch anyway, and take what you do have with you.
I understand others have also done this and then been successful in retrieving older data when going directly in the branch, ask to speak to the branch manager when your there if you can, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
thank you.
I've just got of the phone to them, much more helpful this time, transferred me to the security department and they changed the address. Not sure why they tried to make it so difficult the first time I rang.
I've now emailed the service quality team an updated version of my original letter stating that my address has now been changed.
So we shall see.0 -
Good luck with this x.0
