Hello.
Anyone claimed against Orange or Moorcroft their DCA?
Somewhere along the lines I have been charged a whopping £500 disconnection charge.
I obviously want to claim this back. So before asking any more questions, I wanted to see if anyone had claimed against them already so that I may get some pointers.
Thanks
Saint

I'll resurrect this thread from the depths as I intend to claim from them very soon.0

I don't know but this may be different to the bank charges. I believe that the disconnection charge is payable when you try to get out of your contract early - they charge the total line rental for the remainder of the contract? As a result, it could be argued that they are just charging you for the contract that you signed and are getting you to honour the contract (rather than it being a fine).
There is a thread for teleconms on the consumer action group website - there may be useful information on there:

I am sure that people with better knowledge than I on this subject will respond there or here.
