Arrrghh - Hair colour disaster, I need HELP!

  • If you want to go back dark, you should buy a wash in wash out colour. This way, you are adding pigment back into your hair which will cling to the hair shaft. Once you have done this, you should be ok to use a semi permanent dark shade. Make sure it's a semi which only lasts 24 washes or so.

If you wanted to keep it blonde, your only option really is to re-bleach or buy a jerome russel blonde toner. Buy yourself a purple shampoo especially for blonde hair, this may help reduce the brassiness.
  • Oh by the way, I've bleached my hair loads of times, and I'm very dark. I usually use jerome russel bleaching kit, or schwarkopf bleaching kit. You need to wrap hair in cling film or something similar. The process needs heat and the mixture should not dry out, that's another reason why it's good to wrap your head in cling film.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help - I now look normal enough to walk around in public and I actually really like my new shade!

  • Great, glad to hear you got it sorted. If I were you, I'd buy a good intensive conditioning treatment.

Great news, would be awful to be seeing everyone at xmas if you didnt like your hair.

I have blonde hair, and I dyed it last night to a chestnut brown, took me ages to get the courage up to do it, and it looks no diffrent :rotfl:
