Options
mrsbritishboys lenovo laptop, is 2 years old but has a few problems, first is a flickering screen, which apparently is quite common.

Recently tho wherenever you enter a web address into the toolbar, it starts to load then redirects to a random site. I've ran malware bytes, and avira several times and cleared all bugs, but it still isnt happy? How can i clear it all and start again?

Im pretty limited with my pc knowledge :o

Have you backed up her important data?

If so, reboot and press F11 as the laptop comes on.

Have you tried System Restore or ConfigSafe?

Check your drivers with windows update, but yes it is quite common or ajust your resluation or test display in the drector x on your machine go to start>run>diagx and test your screen resulations

If you have ran malwere and arivva and zilch! zero showing check with http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ which is a online scanner and is really good just to be sure, check your startup by start search box(windows 7) and type startup.msc and click off all programs you mat not have known running in background using memory on startup.

You could try some benchmark tests such as gimptest for your graphic card or sandra to test the functional and specs on your p.c which can give you clear clues to upgrade or memory loss.

    hope that helps

check if you have headphones or something plugged in to your lappy or computer, daft reply i know but worth a check

Then check if your sound is enabled in windows, In windows 7 or any windows it may be in your taskbar next to the clock ect

check if the wav and your correct set of speakers are set up in the menu( you may be using the emelations speakers windows sometimes set up)

Failing that find out your sound card name and look for the new driver from the website (example realtek 3978 soundcaRD)

Pretty sure it was for the benefit of the OP; if he was a mindless pedant, he would no doubt have also taken issue with "resulations" ;)
