Is this a good capped rate?
I've been offered a capped tariff from SP and can't find the unit rates from the other companies to compare with. They have a capped till 31/12/14 offer which has the following charges, Electric standing charge 29.66p/day then a day rate of 10.89p/unit and night rate of 5.69p/unit. Gas is standing charge of 34.55p/day then 3.5p/kWh. I reckon it will cost us an extra £70 a year in the standing charge from what we pay now, and the unit costs are almost equal with the electricity being slighty cheaper and the gas 0.5p/kWh more.
I'd like to compare with other places but can't seem to find ones that quote 'unit' prices, apart from BG who look like they would cost more, but as they don't have a standing charge it gets complicated to work out.
It looks like a good deal, I'm happy to cap till 2014, but would like to be able to compare it with a couple of other companies.

why not use a comparrison site? with the annual energy statement - just drop the data into teh site , along with your postcode and it`ll return the best prices for you (with options for variable , fixed or any other things you might want)0

I was hoping to do my own calculation, don't much trust them to give the right answer.0
