Start-up: What can I get rid of?

Have you gone through the speed-up sticky at the top of this thread?
It might be worth posting a HiJackThis log as well.

Thanks rmg1. Yes, I did go through the speed-up sticky. I'll try to get a Hi-JackThis log up later on. I use AVG AV, Malwarebytes and Spybot on a reg basis, nothing there. : )

the most important part of the speedup sticky is to uninstall/disable existing security and use free avast and on demand malwarebytes instead.

hijackthis logs are easier to read.

if it was my pc, everything in that log except the AV would be disabled, unless you really need any of it on startup...you could try it, and reinstate one at a time to see the effects - lengthly process, but a worthwhile exercise

ans as closed says above, replace AVG (bad) with avast (good)

+1 As GunJack says - disable everything except a/v.
