Using quidco to change supplier from SP to EDF
I am thinking of switching from SP to EDF fixed price 2014. Can I use quidco to do the switch for the cashback? Not very sure about the procecure of switching in order not to pay the exit fee. Got my email regarding the price up, do I need to email back SP and let them know I am going to switch. What happens after I complete the switching form, it seems to be a hassle to me? How easy is it do switch? Thanks

Hi, I'm thinking of doing the same, but unsure whether to go for the 2012 or 2014 fixed tariff?
From what I've read, as long as SP receive notification from another supplier of your intention to transfer before 1st August, there will not be a charge.
Just click through Quidco and continue with your application with EDF to get your £20 tracked.

Or use Uswitch and earn £30 cashback via Quidco. My switch to EDF 2014 using this route successfully tracked within 12 hours.
Also when I called SP to notify them I will be leaving, they said the termination charge will be waived if EDF contact them within 15 days of this conversation.0 -
I am debating whether to go with EDF fixed 2014, is it a paper bill? What is EDF CS Like? EDF? Plan to do it on Thursday, it will be 14 days since I got notification of price increase and then email SP to confirm I am switching. To make sure SP do get notification from EDF, I will chase it before the 15 days again if there is an overlap, getting £30 from quidco might make it worth giving it a try. Airframe let u know how you got on with your switch? Thanks0

My welcome letter arrived after only a few days, it says start date will be 4-6 weeks. It also gives details how to register for the online account. Although I selected email billing during application, my online account states paper billing. When you register and view the online account, there is an option to change billing preferences (sign up to email billing), but at present it wont allow me to make any adjustments, possibly due to my application still being in the cool off period. Be warned though, the website is a bit temperamental....it took me 3 days to successfully register my online account after repeated technical failures.
I will let you know any developments.0
