Could be worth another try, explain that the last recommended posting day (FIRST CLASS) to receive something before Christmas is Tuesday 19th December.

Ebay allow buyers 7 days to pay so your terms are a bit meaningless. As *you* put the requirement in about 3 days what were you proposing to do if they did not pay by then? If you neg them on day 4 or sell the item to someone else you may have problems. Firstly they can still pay within the ebay time frame and if you no longer have the item they can do a non performing seller complaint on you. Secondly if you neg too early it merely reflects badly on you as a seller as any experienced ebayer knows that the buyer can pay by day 7, so it makes you look trigger happy.
After 7 days you can start the NPB process and if you can close it 8 days later without any response from the buyer they will get a strike and will be unable to leave you a feedback rating. If they do respond before you close the dispute then they can still leave you feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for your help. I guess I will have to be patient and wait the week out - just means though that I may not be able to post them in time for Christmas.

Maybe they use bidnapper like i do so sometimes i dont pay until the middle of the next day.Or i wait until a batch of auctions that i am bidding on through my bidsniper have finished and pay for all of them at once so may take a day(quicker than a cheque would take so i dont see a problem).
I wouldnt worry as if his feedback is positive im sure he'll pay.0 -
I was just reminded that I had one this week. Buyer had excellent feedback, almost 100 and all positives yet failed to respond to any emails. I started the NPB on day 8 and on day 12 I got an anguished response saying they were absolutely horrified that they had not paid me, they had placed a few bids and hadn't realised one was ending much later than the others. So they paid for everything they won, and since then hadn't logged back into either the Hotmail account they use for ebay, or ebay itself.
They paid immediately by paypal apologising again for their oversight, and have left me positive feedback as soon as they paid. It can happen, and whilst my main selling account is linked to my mail email account a few of my buying accounts are linked to Hotmail addresses that I only log into a few times a week, so as a buyer it could actually happen to me as well if I left a proxy or a snipe bid in and then forgot.

I now have the answer to my original question. Yes I was too impatient:o
He paid today through Paypal thankfully and so I'll be off to the post office tomorrow:j
I'm currently 8 months pregnant and anything and everything is stressing me out so I think I'll wait a while before putting anyhting else on ebay. Don't want the baby to arrive too soon:rotfl:
