ACER Aspire X3960 - Core i3-2100 Desktop PC - 3GB RAM - £319.99 @ PC World
I need to replace my old desktop as I want to do simply video editing. As my PC is 7 years old, I wondered if the PC above would be capable of the task.
Thanks.

It would depend a lot on the bitrate of the camera you're using, and the software you're using too.
Do you have a camera and software in mind?0 -
Thanks for your reply.
I have a Panasonic TZ7. I don't have software yet. I was thinking of buying Sony Vegas (?) package.0 -
Whilst it will easily handle AVCHD Lite, the problem with that machine is the small form factor. That can will hinder you, if for instance you would like to fit a graphics card at a later date.0

I would think so - that new cpu scores better than most older intel quad cores, better than all athlon quad cores and better than most phenom quads !!

An i5-2500k system would be faster but maybe not justify extra 2-300 cost.0 -
Thank you both for the info. I was just unsure that onboard graphics card would be able to cope.0
