Hi i recieved a parking charge notice for Excel and was told by a load of people just ignore them they wont send anything! However i had a letter from them in the post so then i decided to email them saying that the ticket was issued unfairly. I hadn't read the posts on here before hand (big mistake i think) and did use `Appeal of parking ticket` as the subject heading however didnt use the word appeal in the email. Does this give them an advantage?
I had a reply obviously rejecting the appeal so i decided not to write further and hope they would just go away. Since then i have recieved a final demand mentioning court action i expected this so wasnt too concerned, however now i have had Roxburghe debt collection contact me! Has anyone had dealings with these people?
I have told roxburghe that i will not be paying them and they said they would inform Excel Parking and that they will take it to court and i will be liable for court charges aswell!
If anyone could advise on what to do next and if i need worry about it? Also will it effect my credit as i have spent along time building that up after previous debt! What are the chances they will take me to court and do u think i should pay?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

What to do next depends very much on whether you have a shredder or an open fire.
If you have an open fire you need to get yourself a briquette maker and add the letters to the briquette making paper pile.
if you don't have an open fire then you need to shred them, or at least remove the bits with personal details on them before recycling them.
Thats about it really, Oh you could maybe have yourself a glass or two of beer (or wine) while you contemplate how daft they are trying to extort money out of you by pretending to issue 'fines'
 Hope that helps0

so im guessing ignore them as it wont go to court? my main concern is the credit thing dont wont anything going against me!0

For you credit record to be damaged the case would have to go to court (very unlikely) you lose (very, very unlikely) and THEN you refuse to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. This is such a remote possibility (especially with these clowns) it's not worth worrying about.so im guessing ignore them as it wont go to court? my main concern is the credit thing dont wont anything going against me!What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I appreciate you will not have read every post on here but I as a car adminstrator have had dealings with Roxburghe and they are just a bunch of brain dead pillocks.
I threatened them with allsorts (not the sweeties) and they ran off with their tail between their legs, so just ignore them.0

            jj,
Just to reinforce what you have been told by other posters on here.
The 'ticket' is a scam invoice and can safely be ignored, as can all other communication relating to it.
The companies involved rely on intimidating people such as yourself into paying.
You have not done any harm by contacting them, but they may regard the contact as a 'bite', in which case you might get extra threatening letters.
But the letters are no more than empty threats.
I have ignored two scam tickets with no adverse consequences.
No one likes getting threatening letters, but they will stop.
In my cases it took about six months for them to give up.
My policy now is to avoid getting one of these tickets, but were I to get another, no way would I pay it.0
