I have been searching on this site and others for ages, so hope someone has the answer, pretty please!
I have a HTC desire S that I am trying to tether to a motorola xoom for occasional use when out of the house. Wifi hotspot is set up and xoom can find it. However, as soon as it tries connecting, it is immediately disabled. What should I try next?
TIA

The htc disables the tethering, or the moto disconnects?
are you using the stock tethering application or one from market?I'm not normally a religious man, but... if you're up there, save me, Superman!0 -
Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I wasn't clear. The xoom is disabling. I haven't downloaded any apps as I have been told by a few people that they have managed it very easily on laptops and ipod touch, with a HTC phone. We tried with Bluetooth connection as well but it just says that the devices are paired but not connected. Apologies if this sounds a bit garbled. Background reading and asking others led me to think that it should be very quick and straightforward.

It's OK! I've done it. Forgot to input password.

One of those 'Doh!' moments then?. We all have those from time-to-time. I had one on Monday when I couldn't get my Ipod touch to sync with iTunes. It wasn't until Tuesday evening (having already removed iTunes ready for re-installation) that it dawned on me that I was trying to sync with a charging cable rather than the full charge/sync cable.Never Knowingly Understood.
