The other irony here is that nus bulls used to repeat that buying a home was about so much more than money as a home of your own conferred many lifestyle benefits such as stability of tenure. RB and co used to tell me I was a sock pupet for such 'drivel' and that renting was a far superior liefstyle with lines such as "I get to live in a house I could never afford to buy - the landlord is subsidising my lifestyle".
They all come round in the end. The message is - stop framing your life in terms of penny pinching and potential price saving, money should not be your God.

Maybe he got it for a very good price
No, he has paid a price way above what he has been harping on about for 8 years.
This is a guy who was on the 60% plus club. He got it wrong. It's cost him a fortune and he's got another 8 years longer to pay on his mortgage.
He's trying to cover both bases now by BS and pretending he got a cut price bargain and he expects it to fall another 10%.
When prices start rising are you telling me he won't secretly be delighted? I wonder if he's will worry about FTB's being priced out.
He's a hypocrite like everyone else on HPC.We love Sarah O Grady0 -
It's funny the way no-one has the bottle to stand up and say 'I was totally wrong in my predictions regarding the UK property market and I've now done a total 'U' turn and bought a place'.
It's always 'Well I'm still right, property prices will fall but I've decided I can stomach the loss so I've bought a place', in a MS-W kind of way.
Even Cameron has the 'nads to stand up and take it like a man when concludes his initial thoughts were off the mark. Fair play to him for it.0 -
I've just seen the HPC Mods have moved RB's post. That is disgusting and shows what a rigged up site that really is.
One of their most prolific crash posters has bought a house. That's the biggest news on their site and they want to hide it.
What is the point of the whole site? Either they have a case and can fight their corner or it's just a closed website dedicated to people with one way views.
I would love some of the bulls to be let loose on there. They wouldn't be able to cope with it. That's why we got booted off in the first place.
I've got a false ID on there. I might let them have one final kamakazi post. :rotfl:We love Sarah O Grady0 -

Prove he paid way and above.
As for you still looking at a forum that banned you....oh dear0 -
Prove he paid way and above.
anyone thinking that prices are lower than 2003 should either:
a: continue spamming the forum with the anti HPI mantra or
b: continue spamming the forum with the anti HPI mantra or
c: continue spamming the forum with the anti HPI mantra0 -
the area of Brighton and the surrounding areas aren't cheap and have been very popular in the last few years due to the commuter links to London and prices won't be cheap or cheaper.
