Virgin media network password?

I know that I should know what to do but I`m having a senior moment. I have just aquired a new(secondhand) pc and am trying to connect to my wireless connection.I am already connected with my main pc and laptop.I cannot remember my network password.I know that I can access it via my pc but have forgotten how .HELP I do know my network key but it`s not that is it?

I think I must have changed the password in the past maybe when i was connecting my laptop but blowed if I can remember

I have been into the router and changed my password but when i type it into the password box in wireless manager I get message saying couldnT find network

Are you are changing the router password, instead of the wireless password?

Is it actually broadcasting and the computer wireless is responding?

Signal strength is excellent It finds the network but won`t connect .How can I get in to change the network key?
I changed this aswell whilst trying to figure out what to do .I changed this on my laptop running Win 7 but how do I do it in xp ?
Would this solve the problem?

Hey, Is a Virgin Media Branded Router? like a netgear or D-Link with custom Firmware (It was provided by Virgin Media) or is it a 3rd party one like a Belkin or Linksys etc.?

Thanks everyone .I put in the network key where it asked for password and it worked.I had already done this a few times with no joy but all of a sudden it accepted it.I had tried password several times and network key loads of times .:j:j
