Another ESA reassessment?

Here is a brief history
Sent in the limited capability for work questionnaire early Dec
Recieved appointment for the ATOS assessment in Feb
They canceled it at the last minute and set it for March the 7th instead.
We're now in the 15th of June, I still haven't received anything telling me if I had passed or failed my assessment back from March.
But guess what came through the door? they've just sent me a limited capability for work questionnaire! seems strange that they're reassessing me AGAIN it's barely been just over 3 months.

Dear me... administrative masters at the DWP. I really think you need to contact them and find out what the original decision was on your entitlement to the benefit after your WCA - this new questionnaire could be an admin error. What is happening with your money - haven't they changed the amount you're getting since you had medical?
I'd advise asking for copy of your original medical report (should prove interesting and potentially helpful in future) when you do contact them, tell them you've not been informed of the outcome of your WCA in March and what was it. And then query whether you're being reassessed (and hence were sent ESA50 again)... it is possible that you are... and 3 months would be probably at the very shortest end of the spectrum for such."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
I phoned them and they said according to their records I passed my assessment in March but never told me why I wasn't informed. I also asked why am I being reassessed so soon and they gave me no clear answer.

I still receive my money but it did go up a few quid months ago? the jobcentre were useless I'm thinking of calling them again another day.0 -

Many people seem not to be informed... I never was... their admin is a disgrace. But on your 'how much we are paying you' type letter it should denote a breakdown of how they've worked out your payment... which should include reference to support or WRAG component I would expect.. and the relevant amount of money extra above and beyond the assessment rate. You should also have been backdated any monies owed to you if you started getting your upped rate beyond the 3 months assessment phase... as the award is from 3 months rather than time of your medical/decision.
Unfortunately it seems hit and miss as to whether their agents know what they're talking about... especially regarding ESA it seems. But they should have on their system whether you're due re-assessment... if it is happening after only 3 months since first one then it is probably based on some assessment of the effects of your illness and how quickly you may recover (there should be some reference to this on your ATOS medical report.. another reasons why people should always request it from DWP a few days after having medical in my opinion)."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
It does seems quick but it is possible for them to reassess you again after 3 months.0

I was reassessed after 9 months !I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I was Reassessed 8 months after I passed the medical... Im due another form in the post in September the DWP told me0

My reassessment was due after 6 months. There is a section on the ATOS medical report and also on the form sent to your doctor/specialist (if requested) which asks for a prognosis / an estimated length of illness and this seems to be used as a guide of when a person should be reassessd.0

Just so people know this is my 2nd reassessment. I was assessed to get onto ESA last year. 1st reassessment in March and my 2nd reassessment sometime soon

They give a date that the questionnaire has to be completed and sent it by and it's usually around 1 1/2 months. I find it's best to send it as late as possible that way you'll be reassessed later.
Even when they receive it they can take a month or two for them to actually give you a reassessment date. We're probably looking at late Aug, or September then which is nearly 6 month from my last assessment.0 -

Ah right... so this is 3rd WCA... ouch. But you'll be right about delaying... other way around for me.. they delayed my WCA by many months so my claims from summer 2009 didn;t have WCA until summer 2010... I've not been reassessed and had an '18 month might get better with appropriate treatment' statement on ATOS report."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0
