i have been a talk talk customer for a couple of years now. Despite a lot of problems initially re connection of home telephone billing problems and length of time taken by customer services to answer calls I have been a happy customer until recently.
My caller display was cut off by accident on 13/11 despite numerous calls assuring me it would be back within 3 to 5 working days I am still without it. Having waited about 20 mins to get through each time I get India who have no idea whatsoever. The final straw came yesterday when having waited 7 days from previous call to them it was still not back. I called waited the onligatory 20 mins and got India again who told me it would take 3/5 working days but if it wasn't back on by Wednesday blah blah blah. On top of this I haven't had access to my talk talk email address for days. I try in the morning can't get in and eventually get tham late at night. Yesterday I phoned faults and there was a recorded message re some people experiencing difficulties.
Got into them late last night. Try again today same thing and another recorded message saying problem should be resolved by 10 am tomorrow.
I phone disconnections to find out if I am tied in as I want to leave and I get the first person in a long time who's first language is English!!
I explain I am unhappy and want to leave and explain that all I really want is my caller display back . He agrees it is not an unreasonable request and says he will personally deal with it.
I know it is not a big deal but I do like my caller display as I can decide if I want to take a call or not . Why it should be such a problem I don't know. Will wait with baited breath to see if it appears on my phone sometime this year. Chap states India picks up the overflow calls.
Think I will be looking to take my business elsewhere.
Wouldn't mind so much re internet if I was eligible for the free internet but my area doesn't so I do actually pay for it as well as the calling plan.
