Primus Save free installation ?

I am looking for broadband and eve and weekend calls and after seeing the offer that primus have in martins top tips i am going to possibly go for it. Our flat we just moved into has bt sockets in already but i dont think its active. ML says its free installation but is it? I dont want to sign up and get money taken for installation

    I agree it sounds like a good deal... but I've just been reading this thread (linked) and you might want to have a look at it too before you decide to go with Primus!

    If all you need is a reconnection of an existing line, then no physical 'install ' is necessary.
    Have you plugged in a handset to establish that there is no dial tone?
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    I went for the Primus Saver phone and broadband with new phone line installation offer on Sunday. They got in touch yesterday and told me my electronic billing had been set up everything seemed well. Today that changed, I received an email saying that my local exchange was not compatible with that deal but they could provide me with both a new phone line and broadband on a combined line but they would have to charge me £69.00 to install it.



    I believe this deal is a con and would be interested if anybody else has had the same experience with Primus.
