Nationwide use of overdraft fee query

Does anyone know if Nationwide will still count 'use' of a 'reserve' overdraft (a chargeable event, I believe) if you make an outgoing payment exceeding your agreed overdraft but immediately (i.e. same day) rectify and bring the account under the agreed overdraft or even back to in-credit?
I ask because I've done just that - I made a payment forgetting what my overdraft for the account was. It went. I realised the error. I reduced the debit balance immediately and I will ensure the account shows at least a '0.00' balance before end of business. Different banks treat this situation differently.
I just looked at my official statement from Nationwide and they only record end-of-day balances (not 'intraday') I note - so if I were to get the balance back to '0.00' tonight - not having gone into 'tomorrow' the official statement won't show me with a negative balance. I suspect charging for 'reserve' events (etc) gets triggered by 'overnight' balance only - but can anyone confirm the situation here?

Update: the overnight statement has given transactions in reversed order - credits first, then debit. So it appears (to the world) as though I never went into my overdraft planned or unplanned. We shall see if this raises a charge on the next statement [fingers crossed]
