So in your view for 5 years the bank has been spectacularly useless at keeping track of your transactions costing you £5000 and you haven't thought of keeping a running balance yourself so you
    a) can not have to hold up the queue to check you balance which in your view is wrong anyway
    b)challenge any charges

Sophisticated systems at RBS whereby they can target your account and make 'fishy' for transactions for 5 years without being rumbled. I'd have moved bank a long time ago if I were being systematically robbed like that....

HBOS and RBS are 2 completely separate banks with no links at all between any parts of their businesses.

HBOS = Halifax Bank of Scotland, which I believe was acquired by Lloyds.

RBS = Royal Bank of Scotland which includes Nat West and other smaller banks

Post copies of your last 3 months statements and we'll reconcile them for you, see where the probs are ;)

you're right, it is the banks fault you are spending beyond your means.

Its CCCS fault I live each month right down to the penny....that was something I never wanted to get into and argued the case on here many times, but everyone else thought they knew best. Now I have gone for them and its screwed me over and everyone thinks they know best still. The bottom line is that the banks are using dirty tactics to make as much money as they can....

They publish their terms. You can choose whether you go over your limit or not and pay those charges. Where are the dirty tactics?
