HELP!!! mis sold loan for a kitchen

I was in DFS the other day watching young couples happily signing over their future for a cheap mass produced setee.
You need a new hobby!

Are you happy with the kitchen? Were you happy with a years 0% interest?
This wasn't mis-sold.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Get in touch with the Financial Services Ombudsman, they have loads of complaints about Creation Finance and their practices. Talk to the store manager and clarify exactly what you understood you were sold, it could make a difference. I had the same sort of problem with an electrical retailer telling me one thing, assuring me everything I asked was OK but then submitting the wrong form to this Creation crowd. They are rude, aggressive and never record what they are asked to do and what's more they even charge you for their mistakes. So give it a go, may well be worth it. May at least get some of the interest reduced, certainly worth a phone call anyway.0

The problem if they kick it up to the Ombudsmen will be that, whats actually happened is what the contract said would happen if the balance wasn't cleared within a year. Its a simple case of not reading the small print.
Sorry if that sounds harsh but this is a well known "scam"; electrical shops do it, sofa shops do it, and diy shops do it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I agree, RichGold, that they don't have much to stand on via official channels (unless, as reported, their paperwork backs them up which most of us think unlikely).
That's why I'd approach it from the goodwill / local paper angle.0 -
I doubt there will be much "goodwill", as this is what the DIY place was hoping was going to happen. They now have someone on the hook for more money, which is the very nature of all business.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Blimey, glad I found this thread. I had no idea this sort of thing went on. I don't buy on 0% but my sister has a leather suite from DFS - I'm going to warn her about this.
Thank you.0 -

I understand that the retailer gets a %ge of the interest from the finance company if the customer goes over the 12 month period, thereby encouraging them to be deliberately vague about the consequences of so doing.0

mis-bought instead of mis-sold?0
