Your story is very fishy, if you weren't the registered keeper then how come you're getting taken to court - the letters would go to the registered keeper.0

The first few letters did go to my parents as it is registered at their address in their name. They told me about the letters and I told the council that I was using the car for a 6 month period so any tickets would be addressed to myself.
I've no idea what I might have to gain by being fishy.0 -
Maybe you should have been clearer at the start then. I'm no expert but your parent's car could be seized for your stupid actions0

I can see a problem if the council accepted you were the owner of the vehicle so making you liable then if its clamped you would then have to convince them that you are not the owner!!!!0

I see a couple of members of Pepipoo have advised as I did to go to http://www.bailiffadviceonline.co.uk/ You really need to act on this or this can mount up to a very large amount of money. Well it is now but even more. There may be some way they can find to help you out of this hole.
Also because of the confusion over who actually owns the car I would keep it away from anywhere a bailiff is likely to turn up.
