Advice for finding temporary cash in hand jobs

I've just returned from travelling for a year and am completely broke. I am applying for jobs in my usual field which is very specialised but I won't hear back from these for a few weeks to a month. I desperately need some cash as I'm getting into debt but don't know where to start with finding short term cash in hand…
