Oh god I've been cleaning my bedroom and found a little bug on my bedside cabinet  I convinced myself it was a Bed Bug , but after doing a search on money savers I don't think it is. I am now Absolutely Paranoid. The little bug is about the size of an ant with two antennas and about three legs each side the color is hard to see as it has some offish white marks on top of its body. any help please I wont sleep tonight. I cant take a photo as I cant find my camera I have the bug trapped under a magnifying Glass.

Just throw it out the window and forget about it.0 -

might be a carpet beetle as they can have white marks on them?

Half the problem is not knowing what it is I know, when you have identified it, and know how to get rid of them (if you find any more) then it will not seem so worrying.:)0 -

Thank you but I haven't a carpet I have old floor boards and a little Rug. but it does look a bit like that.0

You haven't said what the problem is. It's summer, windows are open, of course bugs are all over the place, it's what happens.
Ignore it, or follow Hintza's advice and throw it out the window.
Problem being I have seen these in my bed room before and took no notice. I want to know if possible what they are to put my mind at rest.0 -
if you only knew what was under you floor and behind the skirtings, you would never sleep at night.

Go on google images and put in silverfish, that might be it. They are quite harmless bit like woodlice. I had flea spray from the vet once Acclaim 2000 and that had on it that it would get rid of them. We found them when we moved in to old house and started knocking it about but I sprayed that stuff and not seen them since.0
