bhs dresses sizes question

I too went for BHS Bridesmaid dresses and they're lovely. We went for the Evie style in Teal and I have two adult ones and a teen version. They do come up small by 1 to 2 sizes. I ordered loads and then sent back the ones we didn't need. They do come up long although the lengths seem to vary - my sister tried a 12 in a different colour at the Oxford Street store and it was inches too long but the teal one we ordered online is fine! Strange.

I'd definitely recommend them though. They often have 20% sales and their customer services department and returns policy is very good.

What about Debenhams? The Debut range is very good, I have a few dresses from there, I am wearing one on Friday as a bridesmaid, the sizes are spot on to what I am in 'normal' clothes!

Maybe you have a Debenhams neraer you as well? Or not sure what the delivery options are, try the vouchers forum for a free delivery code?

my sisters (MOH) originally ordered this dress in a size 20 as she has a very large bust http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/657212/228564 but the dress didnt even zip past her bust so she ordered this in an 18 and it was slightly too big around the bust http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/657213/228564 so she had it altered. This same dress was worn by all my bridesmaids and apart from one all had to have altered as they was slightly too big and they ordered them in the sizes they would normally wear

Debenhams i dont think there is anything on there that ticks her boxes,seems to be bhs for the moment,am already waiting for a refund on three dresses from amazon and would be good to pick the right sizes from bhs without any hassles,but on what i have read on here and elsewhere they dont seem to be true to there sizes so is it one size,two sizes bigger where does it end,Its annoying that such a place cant even get this right or take sizes and put in a charge for that dresses,i know all girls are different in shape and size but come on there seems to be a lot that have to reorder cause the size is no good

We are getting my Bridesmaids dresses from BHS and when my 9 year old niece went and tried on one in her size for a 9 year old it was way too long in the length and baggy around the bust...we have had to order her a short size 8 dress from the adult Bridesmaids section and that fits her perfect in length and around the bust area (considering she has not grown in that department yet lol)

I would always take your bridesmaids in and try on the dresses before ordering them for deffo!
