PPI reclaiming when business has since closed down

Hope someone can advise me - I first sent in my claim to Bright Grey who were the insurance provider, but they sent it back and told me I had to take it up with the advisor that sold it to me, so I sent the claim in to Best Advice Financial Planning, this has been "returned to sender" as Best Advice have since closed down (although they were registered FSA at the time of selling)
Do I now go back to Bright Grey, or to the Ombudsman?
Any ideas would be great, thanks!

Bright Grey dont offer PPI. So, a complaint about PPI when you dont have PPI doesnt seem logical.Do I now go back to Bright Grey, or to the Ombudsman?
bright grey do not have any liability for the sale. As the firm has closed and if there are no assets, the FSCS will consider your complaint. However, given that you are complaining about having something you don't your complaint will be rejected.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Bright Grey is usually life assurance, critical illness or permanent health insurance.
Life assurance is the most common of those three with them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Best Advice Financial Planning Limited was declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme last year - so go to the FSCS.0
