You can set up Outlook to be a local client for internet mail. Then within outlook set the Junk filter to allow 'Safe Lists Only'. This will block all mail in the first place and place it in your Junk folder. As mails arrive in Junk from people you are certain you wish to allow Right Click on the mail and select 'Junk > Never Block Sender'. This way you will soon build up a safe list of all known (and safe) personnel. These mails will then go direct to inbox, whilst all not on the safe list will stay in Junk mail where they can cause no harm and be deleted or 'Empty Junk Mail' will get rid of all mails currently in the folder.
If a mail is from a company and you expect any number of persons from that company to mail you, you can select 'Junk > Never Block Senders Domain' to allow all from that company address to go to the Inbox.0 -
