Help please to find my Barclay Card Account

I'm hoping that some kind soul is able to advise me as to how i can find out the account number of a Barclay Card closed Account ?
I have called Barclay card a couple of times and was told that they are unable to furnish me with the information, i closed the account due to their charges, i wish to claim them back but can get nowhere without the account number, Any advise would be great.

If Barclays cant tell you (possibly as they have destroyed the information now) and you dont have it then its game over.

Have you submitted a SAR to barclaycard?

How long ago did you have the account, it's a very old one then they may have destroyed the information by now. Have you sent them an offical SAR or just phoned them and asked them? If you haven't sent them an SAR then that would be your best bet as then they have a legal obligation to provide any information they do have.

I have to admit i have not heard of a SAR, but having Googled it i believe that it is a suspicious activity report, could you tell me how i obtain one of the reports, the account was closed about 5/6 years ago.

I had a similar problem years ago what you must do is request it in writing or email with your full address at the time that should do it

Its a request under the data protection act for data held by them about you on relevant filing systems. It costs you £10.
