Excel formula help please

Options
Hi I need to know the formula for showing our trade price less 35% discount.

Currently in my sheet our trade price is in column d and I'd like column f to show the price less the discount so my customer can instantly see what they will be paying without having to calculate it at all.

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

    Hi Guys

No that's not what I'm looking for as that only show what the discount amount is... I want the price after discount is applied..... so D1 says £4.25 and I want F1 to then show £2.76 (£4.25 less 35% discount)

Sorry I probably didn't explain it clearly enough :o

    =d1*0.35 would show the discount

    =d1*0.65 would show the price after discount. 4.25 * 0.65 = 2.7625

    if discount is 20%

    =d1*0.2 to see the discount
    or
=d1*0.8 to see the net price

    for 40 % use 0.4 and 0.6 respectively.

Though for clarity you could use:

    =d1*35%

    =d1*65%

better still, put the percentages in their own cells just in case you should ever want to change them.
