It's totally beyond me. Perhaps some people just love the ambience of those stores?0 -

I saw the fee and was really shocked at how low it was, but then I accepted the job anyway.
You might ask if i'm totally crazy?... but I have 5 days off work and I'll be walking past that store most days. The report should only take 10 minutes, so I thought why not!0 -
Hmmm, have just logged into GfK to do a bank report from a visit this morning, and found a big red message to say it was overdue so had been deallocated.
Suppose I will have to give them a call in the morning and hope they can reallocate it, and that it hasn't already been given to someone else.
Also, I know it's been moaned about heaps before, but the staff at ESA - just oh my god
I remember soeone making the comment before that they sounded as though they had just crash landed onto Earth. Guy phoned me this morning to try and get me to do a group of 4 Challenge 25 visits. Had the first half of the postcodes, but took ages of clicking to be able to tell me what towns they were actually in (during which time I'd fired up my computer and was searching for the myself!!)
1 nearby in my town, 2nd 15 mins away, the third 10 mins on from the 2nd. 4th about 45 mins from here in the opposite direction to the others, so over an hour from the 3rd one, so not sure why it was in the same little cluster anyway.
I say I will only do it for extra money, as I had plans for the day so it would be really inconvenient to fit them in, and I obviously needed to cover petrol and time costs. And i would only do the first 3. Which he has to ask me about 5 times which 3 it is that I could do. Said he would talk to the project manager and call me back.
Calls back 2 mins later, Actually I can only add a few pounds on, as I had told you the wrong fee actually originally and it was lower than what I said first.
I say no, not quite, and the minimum I would accept. Which in fairness was only another extra few pounds, not a lot more.
Says he will talk to manager and call back.
Literally 40 seconds later he calls back. Why he couldn't just ask me to hold on is beyond me.
Yes, they can give me the fee I asked for.
Fantastic.
Except in this time I had looked at the jobs online to see what they actually involved so I could work out how long they should take, and I've seen that they have to be done by a 19 or 20 year old.
So I say I've read this online, and I'm actually 21.
Tap tap tap... "Are you sure. But your date of birth is xx/xx/1989, so you're 20 aren't you.
NO. At which point I actually asked him if he was joking or if he was genuinely that thick!?!
So he will check with the project manager, and, suprise suprise, will call me back.
"Ummm, yeah so do you know anyone who is 20 that you can take with you and get to do it?"
NO! Now can you please not phone me anymore today.
Ummm, ok. Yeah, ummm, sorry. Grunt grunt!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

Oh dear. I have a feeling one of the other one's will call you tomorrow. Uh oh!
Anyroad, you should count yourself lucky, they normally only offer me like 50p more, at least he said you could have a few £ more.0 -
Yes, maybe I should have changed 'today' to EVER AGAIN!!!!
Maybe they offered more as it was a group of 4 jobs. Thought that by asking for an extra few pounds it would immediately end the conversation, usually does, so was surprised when they agreed.
Wouldn't have minded doing the jobs really, they did look pretty quick and simple, but glad I could actually have a day off for once.
Except for the bloody GfK bank job!!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Is anyone doing the TNS blue and red supermarket shops? I'm finding the briefing instructions really confusing but don't know how much detail I should go into on here, can someone who knows what they're doing PM me?0
-
Read the briefing notes, make bullet points on the vital info, IE) areas to cover, things to check, what you need to purchase and times and dates. The briefing notes for that particular visit do go into alot of detail however generally you will not need all the information you get. In my opinion take your phone and make notes on things which you know you need to check and just relax and don't panic, read the briefing notes a few times and each time extract the information you know you will need.
Hope this helps0 -
