I wish I didn't have another comment about tax to add, as it has been done to death for now!!

But I did notice today on my TNS payslip that their view (not that I'm saying their view is right, as we've well established there is NO right or wrong answer) is that reimbursements are not taxable, and that's for general grocery shopping type purchases where they don't specify what you have to buy, Well, I suppose they do very vaguely, such as something bulky and multiple items requiring a bag!!

That would match with what has been said previously, with the TNS shops you're doing the job for the fee, and therefore any personal benefit from the goods is incidental and therefore allowable(as from the TNS Payslip point of view you are seeing only the budgeted reimbursement), I don't think there's much argument over the basic principle of such jobs, its reimbursement only jobs that have caused the contention.

........ but put the payslip down and come and stroke one of serendipity's bunnies:D

I do wonder also, Serendipity, I remember you've said before that you have picked up jobs in the past where your son lives, so you can count the mileage against your tax for the year. I thought this was quite clever I must admit!! But I suppose slightly worrying if you were ever to be audited in case they accused you of doing just that.
I suppose at least they are the secret eating jobs (if I remember correctly that's the ones you said you did for this reason) so you have the argument that it's to build up your points so you can pick better work. Although you were super shiny platinum so maybe that negates that argument?!?
I was a super shiny platinum, then the computer died on me and I had to cancel a few jobs, so lost 10 points each time. I've never been audited, but would try the argument that I have to do long distance jobs to keep in with them, and there is little in Dundee (in fact nothing in Dundee) I'm a shiny platinum blonde now again tho :)
  • All the stroking the bunnies have had recently, they are getting bald patches on their backs :)

Is anyone having problems with the RE site tonight - I have been sitting for the last hour trying to upload a job

No problems here, though did notice there aren't any new jobs - I just thought it was because I'm actually awake at this time for once! :D

Has anyone read this? Just seen it on Amazon and wondered if it would be of any use.

That looks like it should have another title, maybe something like….
I have written a book stating the obvious with information freely available on the internet. However if you buy it I will make some money and you will be frustrated as you will have wasted your time and money…..
Maybe the title needs a little more work, something a little catchier but along the same lines I think. Seriously, Ebay, Amazon etc are littered with this sort of thing. A friend bought something similar a while back and I read it. Actually I read a few pages of it then gave it back, there was nothing in it that I did not already know or could find out within minutes if I wanted to. This could be different…but I doubt it very much. Its also American and covers a lot of things that are not applicable in Europe.

I've received a payment from 'Premier PR' today, and am trying to work out who it's from!
The amount is the same as I was owed from First Tracking (for a job in June that I only realised a couple of weeks ago I'd never actually sent the invoice for :o ) but looking back over previous statements it has shown as being paid by First Tracking. Guessing they might just have changed this for whatever reason, I find with React sometimes it says React, sometimes Lodge something or other.

I did try having a search on here but nothing came up! :(
