Hi, Just taken my first job with ABA-i, its a petrol one and was wondering if anyone knows if they pay for the purchase or is that out of your fee? any help please?

TG - This may be one to add to the FAQ...

    Q. "Do I get reimbursed for my purchase on an ABAi job?"
    A. "The 'incentive' shown is an all-inclusive amount i.e includes both reimbursement and fee".

(Obviously there are exceptions for some of their invite-only clients, but AFAIK, all their "normal" jobs operate this way).

why are the postcode not correct on the petrol visits spend an hour fannying about finding them and checking goole for routes
have cancelled not worthy the effort half the [petrol i buy will be gone by the time i finish.

Check the location on Google Maps and Street View before you leave the house. You can usually enter "XX Petrol near "abcd" and this will narrow your search.

The best investment I have made for MSing is a SATNAV.

Good plan, Monkeyboy. I've done it, and also added in the age-old "How do I add clients to ABA-i" in the FAQ section as well.

Can someone "in the know" please cast an eye over the tax figures in the first thread and let me know what I need to change them to? Can you copy & paste it and make the necessary amendments and I'll change it on the OP because I really don't know where to start and don't want to give false information!

For a lot of MSers, MSing is done in addition to their full time job. If the full time job pays between £6,035 and £42,035 then your MSing income will most probably be taxed at 20%.

I'd change this to just read "If you have any job paying more than £7,475 per year then your MSing income will most probably be taxed at 20%."

I'd take out the upper limit since any MSing might tip people into the 40% tax and that's too unpredictable, also some people might have PT work which will tip them into paying tax.
  • on the home page of ESA it tells me O/1 for certifications which leads me to believe theres 1 to take...but if I click on it it says I have none! Any ideas peeps??

    I have two questiosn please.

The first one i'm sorry to repeat, but I think it got lost as we changed threads.

1- I got dumped by GAP today after only 5 jobs. In one way this is good as I really want to eat heathily, but I would love to know if I did anything wrong.
Most importantly I can't get into the payment options on my account, do GAP pay by bank transfer and would anyone know which date?

2- I wonder why ESA have asked for my National Insurance number, when none of the other companies have?

    Thank you

Gap sack people all the time, if you go back through the threads, there is a post about it every few pages. People who have been with them years, people who've only done one job, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason about it.

Good Evening everyone, I am just wondering if anyone is able to help me at all?

I am returning my very first tax return online and I am a little confused where to put the MS companies names so I can let them know my figures.

I have tried in the part 'were you self employed' when I put in 'yes' it asks me for information as if I own the MS company, I think! Does anyone have any ideas? I am probably asking an obvious question but I don't want to go too far and realise I have done it wrong.

When you're self employed you are the business. You basically work as a contractor to the MS companies. In terms of the online tax return you just clump all the companies you work for together and report the profit and expenses to HMRC.

Employers are anyone else you may work for that pay you PAYE.
