Has anyone had a strange comment printed on a Gyp Pizza receipt? Mine says "Girl 6.5" The guy also seemed a bit funny when i asked for a receipt (it was a pickup) and said he would bring it with my food, am I being paranoid? If it wasn't a MS I'd phone Head Office and ask what that is about.

6.5 seems like the time.. otherwise was it a call in pick up? or Walk in and wait?

6.5 can be the time you called etc or told to pick up

Generally they make wee notes so they kinda know whos getting what. I wouldn't be calling head office even as a non ms shop.

They do make notes as Jen says. Every pizza I get from the RE company has 'DISCARD AND RE-COOK IF CHEESE BLOWS' on the label as I used to phone them up and make them change it if the pizza was delivered with blown/burnt cheese.

Did you pay by card when you called? I remember when I used to Gap pizzas that I was always asked to sign one of the receipt copies so maybe it was a check for the person serving to ensure that the pizza went to the right sex. It can be quite entertaining in the pizza shop when everyone gets the wrong pizzas.
  • Even if it did mean something bad, at least they weren't as blatant as this! :rotfl:

Thanks - yeah could be the time. I was worried they'd scored me out of 10!
  • Tell me if I cant ask this!

What do you like best? Shops with low fee but reimbursements or do you prefer shops where no purchase is needed and you get a flat fee even though it may be lower then the first option. Not sure if that makes any sense?

Depends what sort of shop it is. If one where I would go there anyway and it is something I would want then reimbursement is fine - but if it is somewhere I wouldn't be likely to buy the item then I would prefer the flat fee. That's probably not a lot of help :rotfl:

No purchase requirement is better for me. I prefer fee only visits but the fee has to be reasonable - not low.

I prefer the flat fee (or better still a fat fee), it looks better in my bank balance :)

Anything but not reimbursement only jobs :- 'theoretically' they could cause UK tax issues, as the reimbursement could be seen as the reason for doing the job rather than just being an "incidental benefit" related to gaining the fee.

Also depends on the value of items in the shop, would prefer a lower fee rather than a £10 reimbursement on a £20 typical purchase (for example)
