Me too. The only amount due that matched what was paid was from Gapbuster!!! Early for them but maybe they've changed their payment method because of the delays in previous months?

Ditto, matches my Gapbuster as well.

Actually it makes sense, the last couple of delays were given an apology that they had issues with making a transfer to their UK holding account, maybe they've switched to using Travelex to pay us directly rather than having to transfer funds to the UK and then pay us.

Not worth an alert but in Erith (DA8) area MSL are sending emails about a voice recording assignment for today - friday seems straight forward and a good fee for no report!
Shame I'm House sitting 30 miles away :(

That's my area but I didn't get an email :(

TNS also have a fast supermarket nearby that was due on Sunday so it's obviously dropped, I emailed them at 8:30am saying I could do it but they've not bothered to reply. I need to go there anyway so might just "do" the job and take note of names etc just in case!!

Yeah its GAP. Well it ties up with the amount I was due and I am sure that it had the name GAP somewhere in the listing in my account.

Some MS jobs come with a certificate to hand out when you feel you have received "exceptional" customer service from a staff member.

I'm not really sure what to do with these. I don't know what I would really class as "exceptional service" when having a meal in a pub, for example. What sorts of things would make you give out one of these certificates?

How does giving the certificate meet with the "stay anonymous at all times" directive?

I think "exceptional service" is one of those things you won't know about until you have it. It's something that really makes you want to go back or makes you feel the staff member is going out of their way to give better service than the company they are employed for expects of them (the standard smiling, asking if they enjoyed their meals etc).

An example of when I've received exceptional service on a job, for example, was when I did a betting shop and the staff member was really chatty from the start, she talked about the bet at first but then the conversation naturally went on from there. When she offered the loyalty card they do she had to ask for my address and because it was for another area she then asked why I was in that area which continued the conversation etc. None of it sounded forced or unnatural, it was just friendly. Then at the end I was still talking to her and said I had to go as I had to catch the train home in half an hour and had to find the station first, she told me that it was only 5 min walk away and if I wanted to wait another 5 minutes until she finished her shift she'd walk me there as it was on her way home.

After doing MSing for just over a year the above is one of only two occassions when I've had "exceptional service", so don't worry if you find you never give those things out. It is supposed to be a rare thing (hence 'exceptional' not 'very good').

If you ever are on a visit with one of these certificates and do get the exceptional service then you wait until the very end when you have finished doing everything required for the visit and just have the certificate to give out before leaving. You then present it to the staff member, and when you write your report you only include things that happened before you presented the certificate. This is the only time you are allowed to reveal yourself on a visit.
  • Anyone seeing a payment from Bare yet this month?

Nope, and although the page says I was paid for last month on 27/7 I still have no sign of the money in any of my accounts.

Does anyone have a contact number for their accounts department? I've tried emailing 3 different people but no reply. I've been chasing since 28/7 and getting a little annoyed now. It was a few jewellery visits as well so not small pennies

GR seem to be fab with regards to not having long reshop limits.
I've done some banks 2 months in a row, and it's fine. The first time, they phoned me to ask me to do a branch as someone had dropped it, and I did say I did that one last month for you, is that okay and they were like, oh yes it's fine. You have to be an account holder anyway so it's not unusual for people to be in the branch regularly.

There was one branch local to me that is one of the agency ones, so it's not really like a proper branch and there are usually zero other customers in there, they have to buzz you in the door etc. Love doing those jobs as they are super quick, you know you're never going to be stuck in a queue etc. But I felt I couldn't keep doing them as it was dead obvious who I was really as every time I was in there I paid in some money and asked a random question!! Bearing in mind there are only 3 staff that ever work there by the looks of things, it's hard to not be obvious.
So I started using the branch lots more, popping in often when I was in town anyway, paying in money and being able to say No when they ask if there is anything else they can help with. Also got my OH to go in once as he has an account with that bank too, and ask a question so it might have looked like he was the shopper so they wouldn't think they had it all figured out!!

Have you entered your IBAN and swift code on your bank account details? I remember my pay was delayed due to this when I started with them.
