I work for Helion from time to time, although their jobs are a bit repetitive and spread out geographically so don't do very many. My experience is generally good, the reports are fair and not too time consuming and they pay reasonably quickly. Some of their jobs involve "almost" applying for store credit, however, and you have to be careful because even though I did not sign my application I still got a rejection from the company later and you hope this does not affect your credit record. So I tend to avoid these. Having said that they paid me in full for one of these where there was no-one in store who knew how to process the application.
You got a rejection? I got a credit card!!!
The company did apologise for processing an unsigned application, but it's scary how this sort of thing happens... :eek:0 -
Some MS jobs come with a certificate to hand out when you feel you have received "exceptional" customer service from a staff member.
I'm not really sure what to do with these. I don't know what I would really class as "exceptional service" when having a meal in a pub, for example. What sorts of things would make you give out one of these certificates?
How does giving the certificate meet with the "stay anonymous at all times" directive?0 -
What is it with RE these days? Last year they had quite a few retail and telephone jobs, nowadays it all seems to be pub eating and snack bars, mostly just for the reimbursement. For all the reasons discussed on this forum I have virtually stopped doing RE jobs, they aren't worth the hassle of the convoluted report. Is it just in my area that the worthwhile jobs have disappeared or is everyone finding this?
I agree I'm mostly seeing pubs and snack bars. Many for reimbursement only but some have a fee.
I've just accepted a one night bed and breakfast offer with a major pub chain, reimbursement only. I'm not sure how detailed the questionnaire is yet, but the assignment notes don't have many requirements. There's no fee, but it's a free weekend away, so hey I'll give it a go.0 -
Not worth an alert but in Erith (DA8) area MSL are sending emails about a voice recording assignment for today - friday seems straight forward and a good fee for no report!
Shame I'm House sitting 30 miles away0 -

Me too. The only amount due that matched what was paid was from Gapbuster!!! Early for them but maybe they've changed their payment method because of the delays in previous months?0 -
I had payment from Helion yesterday that had an odd name but today had turned into Helion. Nothing from Gap here. Nice to hear that GFK will appear tomorrow0
