Can someone tell me what Lodge is as posted on the Mystery Shopping alert?
Thanks0 -
Not worth an alert but the premiums have gone up again on Gap - might be able to pick up a job with a decent fee0

You are welcome to PM me, but I haven't done the scenario where you have to buy 2 items.
I also think they should be refunding the postage, but they aren't. As it was for an assignment I haven't done anything about it, but if I was shopping for myself I would have complained.
I'll definitely be complaining as its a third of my fee with 2 items and then another third returning it at my own cost. Job isn't worth it unless I get their postage fee back.0 -

The amount of people who don't know because were not told. But then again, the amount of companies that refuse this is unreal.
When doing my edig surveys if i'm cranky I sometimes make the email inquiery along the lines of "Will my postage be refunded if I sent the item back".
I would say 70% of companies so NO. It's unreal as it's your big high street stores.
I even had an item which was £24.99 delivered from a well known internet store (that has private sellers). I sent it back and received a refund of £22.37. Was slightly confused!
He eventually replied to my email stating he had taken the money to cover P&P. But the P&P was free i protested! £24.99 was the price I paid for the item, i didn't pay postage. AH, he says, but I did and you sent it back.
I pointed out this was a tiny bit illegal and filed a claim against him and won
Whenever you send something back you need to specifically say "I am returning the item under the DSR". You have seven days after recieving the item to "Inform them" that is what you wish to do and then send the item back (your liable for return postage unless the item is faulty or not as described, which in that case you would not be sending back under DSR but SOGA).
Unless you specifically state that bit of legislation the company generally assumes that your not aware you can get the postage back and therfore send the refund without it. It's a shame so many companies design the system to withold rightful refunds unless the consumer specifically states they know the law. Some companies will even argue till there blue in the face they don't have to, some even putting it in their T&C which I personally think is a right sham!
Hope on the consumer board. It's frightning what companies try and get away with. I know I see some on there (Becles i believe for one):D
Rant over, can you tell it's my pet peeve!
IT'S HERE
Mysterious Girl get your postage back
debsjc - You to lol he he he Get the money back especially when on assignment so you can report those companies at least that are not complying with the law. Although it won't make a massive impact I bet they don't like being picked up on it
As a matter of being a pain, on the edigital surveys my email inquiries are "If I send the item back, do I get my postage refunded as well". I do it to weed out the good ones. Some don't reply, some reply very well and those that try to disobey the law get a 'poor' mark for having the rudeness to wrongly inform me of my statutory rights.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

If you check the terms and conditions on their website it gives more information on how to obtain a full refund (including delivery charges) if you cancel with 7 days of receiving the products
It's a pity that Gfk don't refer to that in their lengthy briefing notes. It certainly isn't fair that the job doesn't pay any extra to take account of the double postage costs.0 -
