Retail Maxim was once in my top 4 in terms of regular work but now zilch, last job was an electronics shop over 2 months ago, and was only made aware about it as they phoned me directly. I'm intrigued as I had a lot of admiration for the company and friendly staff:)

They used to be really friendly. One of the ladies that works there has become super troll! I don't like her. She is so condescending. Plus there visits have totally dried up. Normally I was doing about 5 a month for them, done sweet f/a all this month! Be warned, if they offer you a CARPET SHOP the visit takes almost an hour to do and then you have to do the report, so watch out!:eek:

Got paid from RM today for visits from June.

Funnily enough, I've been registered with them for about 3 years and never got anything, but since Easter have been really busy with them!

I dont get much work for them, but have always found the fee reasonable and the jobs not too bad. Certainly a better rate per hour than many of the others :)

Not as good as they used to be. They had travel reimbursement on almost all their visits before. I have seen the odd £ dropping everytime I get the visits. The mens shirt shop have dropped at least 3 x over the last few waves.

I normally get the same 8 shops every third month, not had them this time.:eek::eek:

So disappointed :( Just checked RE and saw the Italian Brothers restaurant, which I have been waiting forever for it to come up in my town, but then noticed they are daytime visits :( When I had a quick glance at the time restrictions, I saw the 17:00 and was being too eager to accept it before someone else snapped it up, as I love love love this restaurant, and only noticed at the part where you set the date, that the 17:00 was the end of the time frame not the start! Got excited about going that we might just have to go anyway now!!

They are terrible aren't they? I've done 5 of them (across 2 different waves) the questions drive me nuts, but the pay is good!
Hi Debsjc, Can you help me with something? Have you done the one where you buy two things? Can I PM you a couple of questions please?

Apart from that, I have just spent the last hour searching on here and can't find the post. I remember recently someone posted a comment that companies who post goods to you have to refund the postage cost that you paid them to post it to you (i.e. Amazon charge £2.99 postage) along with the refund for the product if you return it to them. Is this true? I sure hope so as I have a hefty postage charge I wouldn't mind getting back.

Just found it on the web. Apparently it's part of the "Distance Selling Regulations" that they have to refund you their postage cost. Has anyone had success with this company getting their postage charge back or have they refused? Or has it automatically been refunded with the refund of the product? And how long does the refund take to appear in your account? By law it should be within 30 days. Are they complying with that rule?

You are welcome to PM me, but I haven't done the scenario where you have to buy 2 items.

I also think they should be refunding the postage, but they aren't. As it was for an assignment I haven't done anything about it, but if I was shopping for myself I would have complained.

Don't forget if you want a refund of DELIVERY postage you must tell them in writing under distance selling regulations. However you must yourself bear the cost of returning the item. Most of the companies will have an email address to inform them that you wish to return under distance selling. You have to return the whole order not just a part of it.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.
