There are new pub meals on RE, the ones where the reisbursement ends in .50

The briefing seems unclear as to what that can cover. If it can go towards two mains, or if it can go towards a main and a dessert. Not very well worded.

Example figures...If the Gap reinbursement is say £5 and fee £7. If you spend only £2, do you still get paid £12 or just £9?

I can't remember how Gap work.

Looking back at my last payments I was paid the full reinbursement, even if I did not spend that much, so you should get paid the higher figure.

Could someone help me with a pub stay for RE please?

I have to call the pub within 24 hours of accepting, so that would be by tomorrow evening, right?
But, the earliest date for me to be able to set the assignment call date is Monday 25/7, all dates before that are greyed out.

    I'm confused

In my experience of these, I generally find the dates we have to do the visits tend to be booked up anyway, especially when it's in the school hols. I think you'll find if you read the instructions that you have to phone asap, but visit from 25th.

That's the bit in the instructions that is confusing - It say's to phone within 24 hours of accepting, and to set the assignment date for the day of your call, then after the call is uploaded, you change the assignment date to the date of your visit.

I can't see how I can set the assignment date for the day of my call if it is greyed out. Does that mean they don't want me to phone on a weekend and the earliest I should phone is Monday?
  • Very confused I've already done a hotel visit last week but this one I've just picked up has the same assignment notes (pdf) and points to say the call recording instructions are below the assignment spec, except this time under description it says to confirm to phone and pub serving details etc, although no point where it states a recording has to be done and yet I look at the questionnaire and it states mp3 import and I know that no response from RE is going to happen over this weekend and this hotel will be fully booked by the time Monday comes, should I book anyway?

I've come to the conclusion that we should not phone until Monday.

There are no recording phone details showing for me below the assignments spec, and you don't get paid if you phone the pub without recording the call, so I think that is the answer - no call until Monday.
  • Just started MSing, was using my mobile but yesterday I had a call and lost my timings. Can anyone recommend a good model that does split timings?
