Does anyone have any experience of a "closed shop" for a TNS assignment? My local store is closed for refurbishment so I could not do my assignment as planned today. Will they compensate me for my time and petrol? I know RE and GfK have a good attitude towards this eventuality but I haven't had experience with TNS yet.

I had this a couple of months ago. I took a photo and emailed them. I was impressed that they paid me the fee and the reimbursement.

I don't know how old you are, but the only thing I can think of is because we are under a certain age? God knows. Shame we can't see any. Would be perfect for Sundays when I am at home.
I'm definitely not under any certain age! Lol! I'm 42. Too old for phone shops but I didn't think I would be too old for emails or telephone calls.

I didn't take a pic as there was security everywhere around the entrance and they would have slaughtered me. It would be easy enough for TNS to check with the client's head office to see if the store was closed or not as it is a massive international chain - in fact probably the most popular store in the country and this one branch is super duper big.

Thanks for your response. I have emailed them so hopefully I'll get the same result as you.

Have you ticked that you are a member of the wine club and that you have an account with the wine company?

I'm in Yorkshire and have just been doing a GFK phone call :) For this one I need to have a certain bank account. But another one I did recently I needed to not have an account with a different bank. I'm 35.

Must be the "North thing" Mimi. They don't like me either! I would love some of these email and telephone assignments.

I hadn't seen any until today when 3 appeared. They seem ok, my census is kind of no to everything.

Are all you lot telling porkies on the ALERTS thread? I have updated my Census about 50 times and I ain't seen a single phone call or email. What gives? Is it cos I am from Yorkshire that they are not showing? LOL.

I was wondering the same, except for the Yorkshire bit as I'm down souff!
Just saw the notice on their noticeboard about the number you could accept and it was quite a lot, so I would expect there are lots and lots to do.

It's bloody complex. Also, all these jobs people keep alerting for on GR, they never show on mine. And the number of jobs I have missed is alwasy 5, and that never goes up either. Confused dot com.

Has anyone done one of the tiny Gap restaurants? I'm supposed to be doing one tomorrow but have only just read that you have a minimum spend - but also can only get a main and a drink unless offered anything else, and this would be less than this minimum..

So do I a) underspend, b) order something else or c) take someone else and buy something else anyway? Gap haven't answered me and I haven't got long to decide so any help would be good :)
