i had never heard of the f1 driver jenson until we named our son, then everyone was like, so you love f1, and i didn't know what they mean't. i just replied no we named our son that as we loved the name.

Would one assume that the backache that's a little bit worse now is a) me dilating b) because my cervix is irritated and in a bad mood or c) I need a number 2?

Sorry Abby I have no idea, having not been in your position before. But I would definitely get your mum over ASAP. I don't like thinking of you all alone x

the backache can be related to dilating. are you allowed to go for a little walk or are you are strapped up to machines and stuff? x

Not strapped to anything. It's just I feel like I am constipated although I have been to the loo!
I'll phone the parents and see what they are doing. I just don't want to phone them if the pain is poo related!!!

the "poo" is the baby! heavy feeling like you need to poo poo, right? I had the same, I didnt dare get off the loo for half hour, my OH had to coax me out of the cubicle! when the time comes to push, you need to push (sorry if this is tmi!) out of your bum like you are doing a poo! for some reason you seem to feel it round that area rather than the nay nay.
I'd ask them if you can go for a walk, it can help bring on labour and will relieve your boredom for a bit x

yep i second this was like i need a wee/poo then you just know you need to push, but i was up and down like a yo-yo you should go for a mooch around the room i think thats why my labour was so quick

It's gotten a Lot stronger. I've got front pain above the pubic bone and I think I had a contraction because it got stronger and has died away a little? I should be getting checked out soon. Lying down is easing it I knownyour supposed to walk around but I've been stood up for ages.
Tens machine is on and I just pressed the boost button because I think I had w contraction. Am I ok lying down? I really don't want to stand up!

I'm no midwife - just advising from my own experience. if you've had a contraction you'll know! they are like waves of pain - you can feel it about to come and its all twingy then dies down, they will get stronger and more frequent. it's all about where you feel comfortable, if you feel better lying down then stay there. hopefully someone will come along soon to "check" you - don't tell me you're sat in there on your own are you?!
