I don't know how Argos get away with their so-called 'half price' items? The ice cream maker is not RRP £50 - they must have just sold it for a short time at that price.
Most places say the RRP is around £35 for the same maker, and you can buy it at several places for under £30 (and £23.99 at Electrical123 and no delivery charge - my favourite for electricals)
I don't understand how Argos are allowed to get away with inflating the original price in so many instances. Are there not laws against this?
Having said all that - I may go and get one as I've never tried one! So weak.....

Not always the biggest bargain they claim when you see the 'has been on sale @ ' (lower price)
Many times you are lucky to find the actual bargains or when you do they sometimes give you a similar/substitute product.
The reduced price dates can be extended so not always a need to rush (or perhaps shortened)0 -
