From my experience I have to say I don't think any company can surpass Lakeland (formerly Lakeland Plastics) for their customer service.
I recently filled in a questionnaire from them and when I reached the question 'had I ever had any complaints...' I replied that I'd bought aPhillips ice-cream maker a couple of years ago, but after using it maybe half a dozen times I found the freezer discs had started to leak. I thought no more about it until I got a phone call from their customer services saying they would be happy to collect it by courier and refund me. I asked if I could return it to the store and they said I could, but I wouldn't get a refund - just a credit note. Well as it happened I was looking to purchase a slow cooker, so I returned the ice-cream maker yesterday and picked up a new slow cooker in no time.
The staff in their stores and on their customer services phone line are always helpful and cheerful and it is a pleasure doing business with them - especially when they offer a life-time guarantee :T:T:T.

Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

They are magic. I too filled in the survey and made a comment about their standards having slipped, after having bought several items that were faulty / not fit for purpose. Not only did they refund me but sent a £20 gift token! I wish they sold everything: a full range of groceries, clothes, DIY stuff, electricity and gas, hay (!), etc!0
