Painting kitchen unit doors

I've got a Burbidge kitchen with painted doors,that I'd like to re-paint.
The trouble is it cost me a fortune and Id like to try and not make a mess of it.
It only has the original paint,an eggshell type finish on it is very smooth so it should paint up ok however I wondered if anyone has tried to do this and managed to get a "uniform" finish.
Any tips would be appreciated as I don't want to make a terrible mistake .
Thanks.

you can get a reasonable finish with a paintbrush and care.
however you will never get the same finish as the sprayed on factory look.
even if you spray them (outside) you will most likely have other problems such as dust and insects spoiling the job.
picking the right time of year and the weather, will help a lot if spraying paint outside.
the factories use a spray booth.Get some gorm.0 -
I painted my cupboard doors a while back using Dulux cupboard paint.
I removed them from the cupboards and laid them flat, then painted any mouldings or recesses with a good quality 1" brush before I used a small gloss roller to do the larger flat areas. Gave each door 3 coats, lightly sanding in between each one and tried not to work the paint too much as I applied it. Ended up with a very satisfactory finish.0
