Lidl had them for £1.79/400g yesterday and frozen ones were £1.99/750g
Aldi are about the same price for fresh.0 -
having just done my online research, sainsburys were best at £2.00 for 400G (whihc is £5/kg) so lidl have come out in front there, thank you so much for that0

me again, i'm thinking that the frozen ones, when defrosted would be too soft/mushy for choc fountain?0

The frozen ones do go a bit soft when fully defrosted but are good when used in desserts and smoothies

Could do strawberry picking at a local farm? Not as convenient maybe but much more fun than shopping!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

I agree, I dont think frozen (though defrosted) strawberries would work very well on a stick that gets put in the chocolate fountain.0

If I was after a lot of cheap strawberries, I'd definitely find a 'pick your own' place! There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0

Another vote for pick your own - got a tonne for a fraction of the price of supermarkets at the weekend (and they're nice). Now, if I could only find my microwave jam recipe...
