Remortgaging and changing banks

I'm due to complete my remortgage with Woolwich at the beginning of next month. I really want to change my main bank account and am waiting for my First Direct application form after a referral on these boards.
I'm just after some advice on timing and credit checks on remortgaging and opening a bank account. When will each bank credit check and will it be a problem if I do them both now?
Thanks

I would wait until re mortgage then when gone through applyCan I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0
