    It's called BT Basic.

£13.80 every three months (this includes £4.50 to spend on calls, excluding 0845/0870 which are only free at weekends). Calls outside the allowance are charged at 10.2p a minute (plus 3p for each phone call) for all normal UK calls.

Does anyone know whether you can use 18185 with this.

Have achieved getting parents to use 18185 regularly now wondering whether to change them to BT basic when contract runs out.

Currently on auto renew contract till March which includes includes E+W calls at no extra cost ( E+W part does not get used much now anyway, happy for 18185 to replace this).

No, you cannot use 18185 (or any other calls provider) with BT Basic.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
