Refund at game

Hi quick question I bought a pre owned ps3 from game on Sunday
Rookie home unboxed it set it up was working ok till I put the game in and started playing it after about 20 min it beeped three times and switched off
So I gave up that night after doing some research and let it cool down
On Monday I tried again thinking it may be a one off but nope after 20-30 min of playing a game it beeped three times and switched off
I phoned game today and said I wasn't happy I was sick of it
As it was cutting out on me
They said bring it back and we will switch it over for another one
But I'm thinking I will take my money back
But they said they couldn't gie me a refund only a replacement
Can I get a refund ?

Good chance that they'll happily replace it, but if you want a refund they are entitled to test the item first.0

Not really, IF the game is actually faulty the consumer can get a replacement or refund within a reasonable time frame.0 -
its not a game though, its a faulty PS3 he bought...0

Oh, I misread it. Either way Pre-Owned Game or Pre-Owned Console the returns are the same. If faulty within 28 days you can take it back to the shop for a replacement or refund (Games are actually 3 Months)0

went into game they offered another ps3 60gb so i accepted only to find out when i went in they didnt have the same model in

was offered to take another model 40 gb or a in store credit
i resorted to instore credit on a gift card as i would have preffered a refund though
