The remote for the kids' tv/dvd combo in the bedroom doesn't work, we have a spare 5-in-1 which works perfectly (on another telly). Anyone tried programming one for a combination set?

  • Yes, had success with an old (Alfa, I think) video combo by pure trial and error.

Try Googling the telly and remote model numbers.

I found this - unfortunately doesn't have mine on it so it'll be trial and error.

my neighbour had a tv with video and their remote broke, he asked me to find a compatible remote control for it as he was quoted £40 by a local tv repair shop, and i found 1 for £15 including p&P, no programming required just 2 AAA batteries.

Think i got it from here http://www.remotesrus.co.uk/
