my 12 yr old dog has been prescribed zubrin 200 mg by my vet, for the relief of her arthritis.
has anyone else's dog been given the same? and what effect did it have on your dog?

I think Mr B had this - I had to try several different ones before I found something that agreed with him (Rimadyl was another one).
Each dog is different in how they react, try it for a few days and see how he/she gets on. If you notice any unwanted side effects, go back to your vet and you can discuss trying another.
It can take a while for any side effects to appear - Mr B was on the Rimadyl for a couple of months before he started being sick and I didn't immediately "click" what the problem was so bear this in mind if any symptoms appear even after a few weeks of use.
Good luck - Mr B's now on Metacam and it seems to suit him fine with no ill effects!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
