    What about a staffy? They are small (ish) And love walks, and are very loyal. And I know the RSPCA have many more of them than any other dog, as the bad boy's who have them can't turn them nasty. Perhaps worth a try?
  • Another vote for little dog rescue here. We got our JRT from them a year and a half ago. They are a very professional outfit considering they are all volunteers. All dogs there are vetted by a legion of fosterers before re-homing.
