    Even if yiu plan on living abroad for a while, making pension contribs can be a good idea. Both of you should ask your employers if they have a scheme.

    Do consider the lack of NI contributions while you are away, and think about paying in to keep the up while away (unless you will be working in the EU).

    Getting out of debt is a great thing, but don't let your former attitudes about money influence you into bad decisionbs going forwards. Think not just about now, but the future too.
