Need some advice on interview clothes.

    while we are on the subject of interviews, i have an interview on wednesday do you think wearing a pin stripe suit with a plain black long sleved top would be fine? im fashionable/smartish but not really a shirt person! hahah

    im a male by the way! lol

    hm2be - your boots will be fine. Give them a good polish tonight cos shiny shoes (or boots) always give a good impression. Good luck!

    manhattan - it depends what industry you're being interviewed for. If it's a marketing/media/advertising job then you'd probably be OK. Most others would be better off with a shirt & tie. I have to say if a guy turned up to be interviewed by me without a shirt & tie then it would definately be a negative. You'd have to be really good & impress me hugely in the interview to compensate for the fact that you've turned up wearing a T shirt. Although no tie is better than a comedy Christmas tie (or a musical one.........)

    the job is for a field based engineer, not really what im looking for but it will do as a temporary thing.
    not many suitable jobs in my area at the minute for some reason? xmas maybe?

    or its me being fussy.

    I got the job!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

    So pleased. Interview was difficult and I wasn't sure how I did, but they told me I got it! I'm so happy.
